| STANDARD LIMITED WARRANTY
YOUR REMANUFACTURED OR NEW OR USED SYSTEM COMES WITH A STANDARD
LIMITED WARRANTY STARTING FROM THE DATE OF INVOICE.
Only the "Power Train" of the system is covered by
this warranty, which includes mission critical components such as
processor (CPU), memory, disk drive, AC adapter, and display.
Consumable and /or nonessential components such as battery, bad
pixels, internal modem, I/O ports, sound card, and cosmetic
imperfection are not covered under this warranty. The support of the
operating system and preloaded software, if any, are not included
under this warranty.
If defects should occur in material or workmanship during the
warranty period, Micon, at its sole discretion, will repair or replace
the product with new or remanufactured parts. Exchanges do not extend
the warranty period. Replacement parts used to correct defects are
warranted for the remainder of the original warranty or 30 days,
whichever is longer.
Customer is responsible for backing up and restoring any Network
Operating System, applications or data. If, after diagnosis, it is
necessary to replace a part/product, the replacement part/product will
be shipped after the non-functioning part/product has been returned to
Micon unless the replacement part/product is secured with a credit
card at the time of the call. Customer is responsible for shipping and
insurance costs to return the non-functioning part/product to Micon.
Customer will be charged for unreturned merchandise.
To obtain service under this warranty, customer must request a
RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION (RMA) number @ www.micon.com
or Tech Support at734-422-6171. A copy of the original receipt must be
included with any returned merchandise. Also enclose a note with your
name, address, and phone number along with a written description of
the problem. Warranty claims must be received by Micon prior to
warranty expiration. This warranty is non-transferable.
All customer-installed components and peripherals must be removed
before shipping. If any accessories are missing, and a replacement
unit is sent, the customer will be billed for the replacement cost of
the missing products.
MICON IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING DAMAGES DUE TO IMPROPER
PACKAGING. For your protection please purchase some shipping
insurance from your carrier to cover potential shipping damage or
loss.
There will be a minimum charge of $60.00 (Diagnose Fee) for all
returned products that are found to be non-defective.
MICON DOES NOT WARRANT OR COVER THE FOLLOWING:
- Damage due to collision with other objects,
immersion in liquids, spilled liquids, falls or dropping.
- Damage due to peripherals.
- Damage due to shipment excluding original
shipment to purchaser.
- Damage due to natural disaster including but not
limited to flood, earthquake, fire, wind or lightning.
- Damage due to failure in providing proper
maintenance.
- Damage due to modifications, alterations,
unauthorized attachments or foreign objects.
- Damage due to neglect in providing an appropriate
installation environment for the computer.
- Damage due to use of computer for purposes other
than normal computer usage.
- Damage due to battery leakage, theft, misuse,
misapplication, mishandling or abuse.
- Picture tubes or video display terminals if
defect is "burning in" caused by a constant pattern.
- Software or programming breakdowns or problems or
incompatibilities.
- Normal periodic maintenance.
- Loss or damage as a result of violation of
existing federal, state and municipal codes including repairs to
products not complying with said codes.
- Repair or replacement of parts (such as batteries
or other consumables) normally designed to be replaced
periodically by the purchaser during the life of the computer.
- Loss or damage resulting from normal wear and
tear.
Under no circumstances will Micon be liable for the
following: any incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting
from breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, strict
liability, or any other legal theory. These damages include but are
not limited to the following: loss of data; loss of profits; loss of
revenue; loss of use of the computer or any associated equipment; cost
of capital; cost of substitute or replacement equipment, facilities or
services; purchaser’s time, downtime; the claims of third parties,
including customer; and property damage.
